Amazing finds from the Berkeley Station dig

The dig at Berkeley station has continued at a fantastic pace this year and resulted in some interesting finds from the old station building.

Some of the highlights include one of the columns from between one of the front double windows, lots of window surround bricks, a shard of decorative frosted glass and the ends from shunting poles along with a point clip.

Now that VoBR have been given permission to start exploring the platform, it will be interesting to see what new finds the team uncover, which we hope one day to put on display or even re-use in a reconstructed Berkeley Station building.

More details of progress on the dig, can be read in the Berkeley Station Dig project page.

There is also a Friends of Berkeley Station facebook group, that contains weekly updates.
